If you connect BOTH the HDMI is NOT used, it defaults to the "Other" Non-HDMI, output. You must use ONLY HDMI for it to work?

How to fix issues whith component outputs on haier hlh26atbb 26 in. lcd ?

When you make the connection with HDMI are you changing the source or input key on the television to activate HDMI port? If you don't activate the corresponding source you connect to and leave the TV in the TV mode, you won't actually see the device you are connecting. It's possible the TV does not support the 1080P from your PS3.

How do you use PS3 and DVD player with the Toshiba 32Dtu2 LCD TV?

The PS3 can be hooked up to the tv using either a HDMI cable or the old RCA (Yellow, Red, White) cables. If you are having problems viewing a picture or hearing sound, here is some trouble shooting you might want to try.

Connect the PS3 using both the HDMI and RCA cables. select the HDMI input on your tv. turn on the PS3. If you cant see a picture, press and hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps (this will take about 15 seconds). This resets the PS3 to the old RCA cables. Select the RCA input on your tv. Hopefully you can see the image and hear the PS3 now. Go to the settings on the PS3 and change the display settings to output video through the HDMI. Remember, your tv can only go as high as 1080i resolution, so you wont see anything if you select the 1080p resolution.

If this didn't work, you might have a bad signal though the HDMI cable. Unplug the tv and PS3 for atleast 30 minutes, and then connect the PS3 to the tv before you turn either one on.

If this doesn't help, then you might have a HDMI cable that isn't recognized by either your PS3 or your tv. Try replacing your HDMI cable.

Hope this helps!

I just bought my 42in last night and I attached my cable box to it, with a normal black coaxal cable and the red/white/yellow hookups. The only problem i have is the picture looks kind of grainy and...

Cable box have HDMI port, hook it up on a HDMI cable to the tv,will improve picture quality greatly.Tries HDMI cable to hook up the PS3 system and go in setup changes to HDMI setup will get HD format picture, will be very clear no more grainy and inconsistanty.

How do i connect my ps3 to my tv

You should have 2 options with your PS3 system that are included, and a couple more if you buy extra accessories. First, (and the best option) is to use the HDMI cable that came with your PS3. Simply plug it into the back of the PS3 and into one of the available HDMI slots on the TV (preferrably "HDMI 1", power up the PS3 with the switch in the back, then press the power button on the front. It should recognize that you've connected the PS3 to an HDMI cable and you just have to switch the TV to the "HDMI 1 input" with the remote. Done.

Next option (included with the PS3) is the RCA (A/V) cable which is the red/white/YELLOW cable. Connect these wires to the PS3 and the TV keeping with the color code and find the "Video 1" input with the remote. This time you may need to switch on the power of the PS3 in the back but press and HOLD the power button on the front until you hear 2 consecutive beeps which will switch the PS3 back to the factory setting of the A/V cable.

There are 2 other options using accessories for "Component Video" and "Coaxial" (same as a cable/satellite box) but the process is essentially the same. These cables are not usually included in a new PS3 console and will have to be purchased separate.

Also, in order from best picture to not-so-great picture would be: HDMI (Best), Component, A/V (RCA), and Coaxial (not-so-great). Good luck and enjoy your PS3, it has so much you can do, without having to pay extra like another popular console out there, like free blue-ray compatibility, free online game play, some free DLC for certain games, and now they're updating all the PS3's to support 3D GAMES AND MOVIES!!! :D

I cant get any picture on my sony tv when i connect my ps3 upto it, yet get a picture instantly on a cheap 26 inch hd tv. i'm using a hdmi cable on both

Silly question -- but are you sure your Sony TV is on the correct HDMI channel? My 32 inch LCD has HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3. You must make sure you plug the PS3 into the correct HDMI channel and make sure you're tuned into the same one.

No sound on pc connection

HDMI outputs from devices such as DVD players do carry both video and audio, but the HDMI output from your computer video card only carries video. You'll need to connect a cable from the computer sound output to the TV as well.
