Ford expedition noise

humming could be the motor turning round but not engaging with the flywheel. you can check this by hitting the starter with a spanner a few times. if it starts up after you have a sticking solenoid. had to do this a few times my self to get engine started. replace starter as soon as possible if it works. usually happens if you not driven car for awhile.. or you do a lot of starting and small trips.

This is what my my brother-in-law says when riding with me. He knows more than I do. One of the shafts for my 2001 chevy 4X4 slips in and out. It makes a humming sound going down the street and makes

Does it make a noise when in 4x4 only? Does it make the noise in 2WD as well? A humming noise is usually associated with a wheel bearing noise. If while driving you steer from side to side and the noise changes pitch or becomes less/more severe it is most likely a wheel bearing. You can raise the vehicle and safely support it. Grab top and bottom of the wheel and feel for play.

I have a pair of JM lab Electra 905 speakers, running through a DNM amp and power amps. When powered up, the left speaker makes a very loud humming noise. This has happened recently. I haven't changed...

Hello
Switch on your amp, keep its volue down to extreme low, and listen if there is still hum through the left channel or not. If still there is hum, the left side power amplifier section inside the amp;ifier is faulty. If htere is no hum at this state, hum enters thorugh the audio input terminal, and the input wires must be checked for open sheild connection. OK.

Humming noise when turned on

The montherboard doesn't have anything that would make a humming noise. In all likelyhood it's the fan that sits on top of teh processor. It could be normal, but might need to be replaced or cleaned.

I have a '96 cavalier that makes a humming noise in the gas tank within 5 seconds of starting. I have tried two fuel pumps but the noise is still there!!!

Your fuel pump is supposed to hum, when you turn the key it primes the system and it will hum. When the car is running the fuel pump is running and it will hum. If the noise is excessive then try a higher quality fuel pump, it may be less noisy. You will hear the fuel pump on a lot of vehicles tho when you are sitting at a stop light with your radio off and everything quiet in the car.

GE over the range micro JVM 1870 loud humming noise

When I read your post a shiver went down my spine... literally... You MUST be so careful working on/in Microwaves, you see they can be LETHAL...More service personnel, are killed each year servicing MW's, than any other, single piece of equipment. You see there is a BIG Capacitor inside This has enough energy, Joules, EVEN WHEN DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS. To KILL YOU. This must be discharged with a "Shorting Stick" BEFORE you touch anything else inside. Just touching anything connected to that Capacitor WILL SHOCK YOU. Obviously you haven't so please be careful. Anyway I have done my "Duty, and told you. What you do now, is up to you.

Loud humming noise

Stick you hand in the freezer, touch the back wall of freezer, see if you feel a strong or lite vibration equal to the hum you are hearing. If so, the you have a bad evap fan, if not then pull unit out from wall and see if hum is load toward the bottom rear portion of the frig, if so contact a repair tech.
