Channel Master DVR clock loses time . is there a battery replacement procedure needed ?

It's possible that the DVR's internal battery is losing charge, causing the clock to lose time. Typically, DVRs use a small lithium battery to power the clock and other internal functions. Over time, this battery can lose its charge or fail entirely, which can cause the clock to lose time or reset completely.
To replace the battery in your Channel Master DVR, you'll need to open up the device and locate the battery. Depending on the model of your DVR, the battery may be easily accessible or it may be hidden inside the device. You may want to refer to the user manual or contact Channel Master for specific instructions on how to replace the battery in your model.
Once you've located the battery, you can replace it with a new one of the same type. Lithium coin batteries are a common type used in electronics, so you should be able to find a suitable replacement at most electronics stores. After replacing the battery, you may need to reset the clock and other settings on your DVR.

My Bose clock radio, quite old model, has suddenly started losing about 45 seconds a day so in a week it's 5 mins slow. Any suggestions and preferably fixes?

Usually when a digital clock starts losing time like that its because the crystal thats used as a time reference in the clock circuit has started to age and drift off frequency. Other then repair/replacement of components there isn't much that can be done to it. I have a couple older LCD tv's with built in clocks that display the time on the screen that do the same thing, after checking the time base crystal in the circuit its simply due to the frequency of the crystal drifting with age.

Looses time after day light savings time

Clock shouldn't lose time if it is receiving time signal. Do you have the signal indicator showing?
If not suggest you take the batteries out and reset the clock, making sure that you do not set a time.

Clock Losing Its Memory

Our oven clock does the same thing every time the power blips, but we live way out in the boonies and expect occasional problems. Do your lights blink too? Check with your neighbors to see if they have power problems. If this is a chronic situation, contact your power company to see if they can repair the situation.

GE oven clock losing time.

I think I got this.... my oven clock does run slow for months then perfect for months, then slow again. I believe a repair would be a waste of money since there is nothing wrong with the clock. The problem is with the supplier of electricity. The oven uses 220 so may be related to the coverting 220 to 110 v. The clock is counting cycles in the electricity supplied to your home and that varies all the time.

This is a sure sign that your CMOS battery needs replacing, but you may need to take to a qualified repairer as the battery can be hard to access or even locate.
