Regza intermittantly blacks out. Can be when it is first turned on or after several hours of run time. started about 1 year ago however it is worsening. Lamps apparently work however they will just cut out and may or may not restart (after cyling the set off/on). May need to wait 10 mins and then restart to get it going again.
Repaired a Toshiba 32hl67 by reseating the connectors on every board and cutting the wire tie on the back of the screen. I know it sounds crazy but I think the wire tie is what did it. I think it put enough pressure on the wires to cause just enough disruption in the currant flow to make the control board think something was really wrong and it shut down the screen as a safety measure. What every the case the TV work flawlessly now.
I had same problem. Took the back off and checked connections and found wire tie. Those wires were sheilded at one tie but not the other, so I see the logic. I cut the tie and straightend
out a bunch of things on the power board that were touching. I lookes like sloppy board assembly. Anyway it seems to have worked and improved picture quality in some peoples opinion. If your having this problem it's an easy thing to try.
