Canon Pixma MP198 error code 2 114 0

After i refilled my ink.. i can't print, scan and copy. error code 2 114 0 always appeared.

    Hi, You need to reset your device for that follow these steps. Steps:- 1) On the operator panel, press the ON button. (The display will go blank.) Note:- You need to unplug the power cord if ON button does not shutoff the device. 2) Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the ON button again. 3) Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request. Note:- You need to unplug the power cord and retry if the above step do not clear the error. Good luck...do rate the solution.

I got a same prob..i can't print,scan and copy and the refill warning always appeared..i hv refill the cartridge and i shut it down and try again and again..it's the cartridge prob or the printer prob..?

How can i operate my scanner always says that "cannot communicate with the scanner cable may be disconnected or scanner may be turn off. check the status scanner driver will be close" how will i fix these problem?

You are not giving any error codes or messages from the printer, so I can't pin point the error. But you could try to check all contacts from the cartridges and in the printer, because jus a small piece of paper, sticky tape or dust can destroy the communication, needed to let the printer do its work. Al contacts should be clean and shiny. Make sure the cartridges gave a little click when you pressed them in place.

Regarding your Pixma MP830 printer inquiry (Canon PGI-5 / CLI-8 ink cartridges) and A200 error message, most likely the built-in PRINTHEAD is reaching it's end-of-life and may need to be replaced with a new one. Typically, the average printhead only produces ~4000 to 5000 pages before it electrically fails.

However, let's run thru the full checklist to screen out additional variables:

Canon A200 Error, Troubleshooting:

Replace ink cartridges if they are empty:
At the risk of stating the obvious (frequently not so obvious in the heat of the moment), find out if the ink cartridges are empty. When in doubt, try a new Canon original ink cartridge to see if this corrects the error.


A data cable of print head is open:
Did you just replace an ink cartridge? Perhaps you shifted a data cable to the print head.


Replace PRINTHEAD if it is damaged. Refer to Canon.com for replacement part.


Turn off the printer for some time

In other troubleshooting tips we have advised any inkjet printer not seeing regular usage to run a test print page. If you are making heavy usage of a Canon inkjet printer, consider giving it a break. This will avoid saturating the printhead with heat, prolonging useful service life.


Update the printer driver:

If you have followed all this with no success, from the printer menu (not computer) push the buttons to get a demo or test page. If everything is ok when you do this, however you get the service error code A200 when you try to produce something productive, odds are good, the print driver the computer is using has gone south (corrupt). When printing on a network, a corrupt printer driver can spread like an unwanted virus. Depending on the network, a driver that has gone rogue may be seen as an updated driver, which network will 'helpfully spread' as an update.

CAUTION: Be advised, the use of compatible/clone cartridges (i.e. sold thru the internet from China) are known to be problematic and may cause printer errors and/or permanent PRINTHEAD failures. We do NOT suggest refilling these types of ink cartridges.....refilling of original/genuine ink cartridges is only suggested!

It means no paper...

Error Code :
E2-2 = No paper (ASF)
E3-3 = Paper jam
E4 = No ink
E5-5 = The ink cartridges are not installed or a non-supported ink cartridge is installed, or the ink cartridges are not installed properly
E8 = Waste ink absorber full, or platen waste ink absorber full
E9 = The connected digital camera / video camera does not support Camera Direct Printing
E14 = The Ink cartridges whose destination are wrong
E15 = Ink cartridge is not installed E16 ? Ink remaining is unknown
E16 -E19 = Failed to scan head alignment sheet
E22 = Carriage error
E23 = Paper feed error
E24 = Purge unit error
E25 = ASF(cam) sensor error
E26 = Internal temperature rise error

Displaying error E and 5 (In Blinking) and error code 2,114 while scanning........help me out of this...........thanx


The e2 error os no paper, e5 is improperly or damaged ink carts, as is the e14 error code. Make sure that there is plently of fresh paper, and replace the carts with new canon carts. If you are using refilled carts in this machine, the failure rate of this series of carts is nearly 60%. Last step to try would be to unplug the printer from power and let sit for at least 10 minutes, plug back in and power up.

My F4280 HP all in one wont recognize the refilled cartridge.


hello, attempt to clean the sensors on the bottom of the cartridge with some kind of solvent and q-tip. If the ink cartridge has sat awhile before you refilling it then the jets will be clogged dry and you will need to purchase a new one for your printer.

Dell a940 error code 50c


From doing my research, I have found that the 50C Error message comes from the cartridge, usually if it has been refilled. If this cartridge is new, please return it to the place of purchase for a new one or a refund.

Here's what happens when you refill the Dell Series 2 ink cartridges. There is a sensor in them that cannot be reset.

Dell ink cartridges can only be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's website.

Dell ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. The sensor can not be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it may print fine, but the sensor will always report low ink. Buying or replacing ink cartridges with new Dell cartridges will resolve the low ink message.

Dell discourages ink refills. Refilling ink may lead to print quality problems, and even eventual hardware problems.


if u have not refilled ur cartridge and u still get this error i suggest u buy a new cartridge.....

Troubleshooting in scanning and printing


You have to reset that cart. before you fill it there should be instructions on how to do this on the refill kit you bought, you cannot just fill the cart and put it in the printer you will dmage the print head if you have not already done so. I cannot see what was done so I could not give you a solution but only tell you that the ink needs to be charged before you put it into the printer!!!

What is Error Code 1102


If you get errors after refilling and then you clear the error! And you still get errors occuring then this is a problem with the cartridge.
1)The cartridges printhead may have burned out if it was run dry. (new cartridge is required)
2) No ink is coming out of the port hole! Try dabbing the bottom of the cartridge on tissue. Ink should appear if not then use tissue with Isopropyl alcohol and blot lightly until ink apppears.
3) If not ink appears then you may have an air bubble blocking the flow of the ink. wrap cartridge tightly in plastic wrap holing in an up right position whip downwards this will force air to the top of the cartridge and open the port on the bottom. Remove wrap and try it out.
4) If the cartridge sat empty for a period of time before refilling you are wasting your time. The ink is probably sitting at the top of the cartridge and can not migrate to the bottom, in this case it may have burned out.

In refilling of Lexmark cartridges:
Refill often and do not allow them to run dry. Running them while there is not ink in the cartridge burns the print head out and the cartridge will not work and you will get an error.
By refilling often the cartridge stays in good condition, you do not run out of ink during a print job, and the cartridge will have a prolonged life span.
