Hi
I made that same mistake. I had to unplug the dvd player, open the dvd door and with a screwdriver turn the wheel under the tray and manually make the tray come out of the door.
Hope it helps
Alison

DVD NOT RECEIVING DVD DISCS

Hello
The loading mechanism has the trouble. The inserted CD or DVD does not engage into the laser assembly unit properly. It may be due some fault with its loading motor or loading belt. Check these.

Dvd in in player and won't eject. screen reads "loading".

Try unplugging the unit and plugging it back in after a couple of minutes, if cd still won't come out you can unplug the unit and manually remove the cd by taking the outer casing off.

DVD does not play just spins and keeps showing loading.

Check to see if the disk is dirty, has fingerprints or is scratched. This has happened to me in the past and if dirty, cleaning it will correct the problem.
