My Epson Stylus Photo R265 is not allowing IJT Direct compatible ink cassettes to be used - they load into the printer OK. What can I do to make them work?

Hi If you are using compatable inks try taking the ink cartridge out and put it back in again try this three or four times to see if it will accept it if not try a different cartridge you can sometimes get a duff one The earlier models have a different cartridge than the later models epson altered them and changed the chip

U can find resetter (SSC Utility or R265 Adjusment) at indoreset.blogspot.com. Reset the waste ink counter.Good luck.

I have problem with r265 Epson. I installed new ink cartridge from epson but the printer could not recognize it. I installed SSC Service utilitry, but the programme could not recognize printer at this status. What can I do?

Check the properties of the printer in Windows, make sure it's not using any odd color profiles. My Epson uses E411__1 as it's color profile. There might also be brightness and contrast sliders in the printing preferences that you can adjust or return to default.

Hi - What type of discs are you using? I have an Epson 200 series printer and use these discs click here.

Also what ink are you using as some "compatible" inks do not work well on printable discs.

2. TRASH and REINSTALL the drivers
3. Try a different application and file
4using a PHOTO PRINTER (Stylus PHOTO) try to set the QUALITY OPTION to BEST PHOTO or PHOTO RPM
5. Go to PRINTING PREFERENCES and hit ADVANCE
6. Choose the right PAPER TYPE, SIZE and SOURCE then disable HIGH SPEED
7. Once all those are set choose PHOTO RPM under the COLOR MANAGEMENT box and try printing
8. This will print a lot slower but will be using alot of ink and eliminate the lines

Re load the software.
