Hotpoint aquruis washing machine wont spin

When it comes to spin it jumps to the end , it sounds like the pump comes in for a split second and then goes to the end.

thanks, have done all these checks but still the same , tried it on rinse ,i looked from the back of the machine and noticed the second the motor turned the cycle light jumped to the end could this be a fault on the motor or the programmer?

These machines have a common fault. If yours has no visible filter, the filter is in the rubber waste tube, just below the drum.
Most faults on these machines are due to a blockage or build up of sludge and lime scale in this area.
This also affects the pressure switch, which is linked by a plastic tube to the same place! This will cause the machine to stick, and not spin, otr to spin with water in the drum causing vibration.
Firstly check the outlet hose and the plumbing where the outlet goes to for signs of sludge and lime. Unless you have very soft water or a water softener, there will be some! Usually lots!
Clean this out.
Disconnect the machine from the mains and the water supply and pull it into a clear area.
Put a thick cloth on the floor and gently lay the machine on its left hand side, looking from the rear,
Undo the small panel on the back and you will see the black rubber concertina hose, pressure chamber and pump, which are now all easily accessible from the rear and the botom of the machine.
Undo the circlips with a screwdriver and the special plastic clips with a pair of pliers by twisting each part in the opposite direction.
Take the whole hose off. You find a filter and a "ping pong ball" inside this.
Clean it all out as thoroughly as you can. At the same time clean out the plastic pressure chamber and the pump. you might need to use a proprietary limescale remover or vinegar to do this.
You will usually find a few buttons, plastic items, paper, couins and a load of sludge!
Put the whole lot back, The plastic clips slide together with a toothed grip.
The whole job should take about half an hour and the machine will be like new.

I have a Hotpoint Aqualtis wash/dryer which stopped working with a 'F12' fault. Now when I turn the socket on I get an immediate really loud whir/buzz.

possibly the main drive belt has either snapped or jumped off the pulley and this allows you to turn easily by hand the whir/buzz sounds like system in coming into play but with no belt to drive nothing more happens, the front lower portion of the machine could be the water pump working overtime unable to drain ???

My washing machine wont wash or spin proprly

the water is not pumping out because you have a blockage in the filter unit which is located at the bottom of your machine or possibly a weak pump. the reason that your machine smells is because the water is not discharging. check the filter first for any blockages, i.e coins, bra wires etc. if that doesn't sort it you may need a new pump

Water comes out of draw and door sometimes on spin cycle and does not drain properly

Sounds like you have a split in the door seal and also your pump may be partially blocked.

WM 22 will not spin

yes.dose it drain, see it must drain before it can spinso if water is standing in it it wont spin and that would mean your pump is ither blocked or reciving power but not working.

No spin

open the bottom access panel , 3 screws on bottom . open the large filter access and look for debris,
it will dump some water on you. have towels/pan ready.

check the pump impellers that they turn freely.
reassemble ,
check under the rubber gasket in tub to be certain no clothing or objects got there.
run it on rinse and see that he water drains.
also the exit hose needs to be higher than the washer exit if on a pedestal.
do you get any error?
