Hello. I looked carefully at the service manual for your unit--surprisingly, there is no thermal switch inline with the bake/broil elements. Usually, if the bake or broil elements pop, this blows out the thermal switch, killing power to the elements for safety. The main control board can get damaged due to the high current draw during a short-circuit. The part number for the main board is WB27T10008. The overlay(the decorative sticker with the button/names on it) numbers are as follows: almond WB27T10022, black WB27T10023, and white WB27T10021. I hope this helps you!

Not familiar with this exact range, but it could be a couple of things.

If the broiler (upper) element heats properly and the baking (lower) element works properly, then the issue is probably in the controller/preheat switch.

If the broiler doesn't heat up, then the upper heating element.may need to be replaced.

You could use the oven without the broiler. It is customary that the oven will use the broil element to even out the heat in the oven for better baking but you could use if. it just may not bake evenly. There could be two things that is causing the broil element to stay energized. the control is not shutting down or there is a short to ground in the broil element. Have the broil element tested, it could just need replacing. If it is in the control that is a bigger problem.

It sounds like the control board blew out. I have had a couple of these just blow like that lately. The bake and broil wont work. . Check for any bad wiring but the control board is most likely the culprit.

Manufacture and model would be nice ohm out the bake element might be open some are in the oven cavity others are hidden below the lower oven plate and have to check from the rear by removing back cover in the bake mode the broil element element cycles on/off thats why you have some heat.

Testing Oven Controls Another reason why the broiler will fail to work is because of problems with the oven controls. A thermostat is used to set the temperature of the broiler, and the oven selector controls are used to control the setting of the broiler.
Turn the oven controls on to see whether the broiler is working properly. If not the controls can be removed and tested using a multimeter. Check the outputs to ensure that the controls are working correctly.

Do you have any cuts, holes or "shorting" or tin-foil/aluminum around your bottom bake heat-element? If so, you may need to replace the baking Heat Element. (Ensure you do not use aluminum foil around your heat element to prevent your oven from getting dirty)

To replace your baking heat element, with power off; remove 2 screws securing the bake element. Slightly tug and pull towards you for about 3 inches or so and disconnect the connecting wires at each end. Then completely remove the heat element and install new in reverse manner.
