Clicking noise 55 inch hd projection when turning the power on there is a like clicking noise or more like a zip tie being pulled type noise, do you have a solution

The problem is due to clogged tubing inside the unit. To solve the problem, do the following:

Remove the water collection bucket and look up inside the bucket holder cavity. You will see either a drain hole or small tubing that drains the water into the bucket. Using an appropriately sized, 18" long, plastic Zip Tie, carefully insert the tip of Zip Tie into the hole or tubing. Continue to push it in until you reach a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull the Zip Tie back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will breakup any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared, as some water may follow. Reinstall the bucket, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity extraction level to 35% or Maximum if you have a manually controlled unit. Allow the unit to run, while you monitor it for any leakage.

NOTE: If you don't have a Zip Tie, you may use something similar ( i.e.a long pipe cleaner), but NO wire coat hangers.

Got our tv in 2004 and we're having the exact same problem. When the blue convergence started going a couple months ago my husband researched the heck out of it and decided it would cost less to just replace the tv with a newer, nicer model rather than repair it. And now, as of last night, we are having the same power issue where the power button goes on, but won't stay on. It just clicks on and off and no sound or picture. Did you ever get yours fixed, or did you end up replacing?

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. something wrong with the power board. it need to be changed.

depends on the model number, could be a M board or perhaps a power supply board.

velvel535, since you do get the other led's to light up it could be that you have an operable power supply and the problem is more than likely in the horizontal deflection circuit' a shorted h.o.transistor or components related to it.If the tv does have a good power supply you will hear some kind of noise when you push the power key though this is not a sure indicator of a good power supply. some repair costs for a horiz out problem can run up to 290 dolls depending on the problem.Please leave positive feedback if i answered your question.thanks!

The phillips 9P5544c isnt a HD tv so you will only have 4.3 formatt available

mother board has fried. jump on ebay to find another board and replace it.

1)Pull chassis or center PC board
2)Replace STK392-570 IC's
3)Locate green soldered-in pico fuses = use ohm meter
to find which ones are open ( bad ) = replace
4)Reassemble, test
