My Canon Rebel Digital DS 6041 EOS is getting error code 02 when when I use any new CF card. I have been using the same card for 3 years, and have tried numerous other cards and only the original card works. The original cf card is now lost, and now my camera won't work with any other card.

The 02 error definitely refers to a CF card problem. If none of these cards are new and have been used in other cameras, this could be the problem. Try a new one.
Check that the pins in the camera that connect to the CF card are clean and not bent. You will probably need a good light and a magnifying glass to see into the card slot. If you can see a pin that is bent you could try straigtening it. BEWARE- turn off camera and use a non conducting "stick" ie cocktail or toothpick. Not sure for a Canon but a colleague paid £40 for a new pin assembly for a Nikon with similar problem.

CF probably relates to the Compact Flash memory card. It may be time for a new one. They're very inexpensive and a replacement would be the first step to discovering the problem.
In the manual on page 127: Err 02 There is a problem with the CF card. Do one of the following: Remove and reload the CF card, use another CF card, or format the CF card.

This happens when image data cannot be written/extracted on CF card. Try a card that you know is ok ( works on other cameras ). If problem persists one or more pins in the CF card chamber may be bent or even broken off. Try to straighten but be careful not to damage undamaged pins... but may have to go to an expert for repairs.
The error 02 can come up when there is CF card problem : card not seated properly , card takes too long to come on line from the cameras point of view or if one of the the pins inside CF card chamber is faulty.
