Where can I get memory cards for my Janome 9000

I own the MC9000. I bought the Magic Box plus and I download designs from embroidery websites and transfer them to the memory card (ATA PC card) that came with the Magic Box. It is rewritable so I just switch out designs as I please. I bought the Magic Box about 5 years ago and paid $200 for it. It is super easy to use. I hope this helps.

Broken Carriage?

I do not think this is a DIY repair. That said, it seems likely gearing has been damaged. Without a workshop manual, even if you found the gear, you do not know the identification number for it. I see no authentic download of the workshop manual on the web for this Memory 9500.

I only find the Instruction manual available on the web (freely available at the Janome site). Even if you find a Janome technician on an answer site, that is not going to get you disassembling the machine, replacing the part, reassembling it, and adjusting it.

Check Janome support and see what they offer: tech advice, workshop manual for sale, and/or parts. You are likely to conclude you need to find someone at a service center.

In embroidery mode I insert a card adapter into my machine and all I get is a "communication error" I have a Dynex card reader which works fine on my computer. I also have PQ1 compactFlash adapter that...

The solution was sooo easy.....one of my online embroidery groups suggested to put the card in my Janome and let the machine format it. It took about a minute and did not tell me what it was doing..and It worked! It put two folders on my card, Emb5 and ord#5, and I was to copy the jef files into the Emb5 folder, which I did and bingo! my Janome 9500 read the card and produced a screen with my jef files in it. I am a happy camper....I don't know if this works with all Janome machines but it did with mine.
Thanks for being here to help.
