Question about Connex Radio Communications

Realignment I have an older model Galaxy pluto and I need a SAM to realign this radio// Is there and manuals that I could cross ref this layout with??.. thanks Larry KF4TWD

Galaxy Pluto frequency drifting

Find the crystals in the radio...hope you know what they look like...when you locate them touch one at a time to see if it will stop if it does you have a bad soilder joint on one of the legs or it could be that its time for a new crystal..they don't like the cold weather at all...but it is fixable so don't worry

sounds like it has lost its tune. carry it to a tech and have them realign the tuners and it should work again.

I have a Philips 34pw9817. The picture is cut off at the edges. How do I adjust this?

Is the picture looks like ) ( then the east west circuit is broken and must be repaired,if the picture looks like ( ) then you can realign this in the SAM.

The s-meter goes down scale when I am modulating. What causes this? THIS IS ON A RCI 2980 RADIO

the reason i saked is that if you turn the power all the way up it tends to reverse modulate. this happens because the power is using all the transmit voltage for the final and the modulation circuit is trying to use as much as it can so the radio is most likly out of alignment and needs to be realigned. its not that hard if you have the service manual and the correct equipment. i have a factory authorized shop and we do alot of realignments due to the cb shops tweaking the 10 meter radios.

it can not be tuned to go high or low you need to add switches for that and then realign the radio.

the board pushed into the clamps toward the back is the voltage to the finals do not play aroud it or you will be buying another radio just a warning. the modulation adjustment is made to vr 16 for am modulation and vr 13 for ssb thats lsb or usb do not turn any other
variabe resisters unless you want to spend the money to have it realigned to the tune of about $ 75.00-100.00 because it is a sidband radio.
