Starview channels missing

never ever do a factory reset /first you delete the channels then rescan it will not recognise the channels if they are still on the box

you are doing well to have any channels at all as all the other people have lost all sports and movies so i would delete the channels that are scrambled and then rescan you must delete the scrambled channels before you rescan

if its a cable box then sorry there is no fix for this problem yet if it is a terrestrial box then delete the scrambled channels and rescan if you factory reset the box then you must install the latest firmware

Try factory reset and scan again. Turn emu on after scan.

A factory reset and rescan should sort it out. Don't forget to turn emu back on after scan.

1st have you scanned the correct provider ex NTL, TW etc?

2nd did the scan find any channels or none at all?

EMU is the emulation to unscramble the channels, to access this in a starview press menu enter 1570 to bring up the secret menu, scroll down to Key EMU and use the <> buttons to turn on.

Exit out and select a PPV channel eg Sky Sports 1 and it will update. You are then set to go.

If no channels are picked up with the scan then check the VM website to see if there are engineering works in the area causing the problem.

Factory reset and rescan switch emu back on.

I had to rescan setting the frequency to 538,500, which was previously defaulted to 539,000. press menu - istallation - manual scan- change frequency typing 538500 - press enable network scan. then -ok. should bring back your channels. after scan is complete make sure your emu is on.
