Microphone on aspire 3680 not working

Hi,

Make sure you also install the Audio driver from Acer. If after installing the Audio driver from Acer it still does not work right click on your speaker icon in the System Tray and select Recording Devices. Highlight your microphone device in the list the click Properties. Click on the Levels tab and make sure the microphone is not muted and the volume is turned up.

This laptop doesnt have a built in microphone.

Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop

Go to Start - Control Panel - Sound - Recording - Recording and you will see a list of connected devices. Check that the Microphone is live and has a green tick and also that the driver name is present. Double click or Right Click the Microphone for setup options. If it is not working you may have to reinstall the sound driver.

If this is not working then check Start - Control Panel - Device Manager - Sound, Video and Game Controllers to see if there ay alerts or errors (highlighted in Yellow and Red respectively).

Also check Start - Control Panel - Device Manager - System Devices to see if there ay alerts or errors (highlighted in Yellow and Red respectively).

If there are no errors then you should be able to use the microphone successfully.

The volume may be muted. In Windows, look at the volume control icon on the taskbar. If it is crossed-out, click on the icon and deselect the Mute option.

• The volume level may be too low. In Windows, click on the volume control icon on the taskbar, and then use the slider control to increase the volume level.

• If headphones are connected to the headphone jack on the computer, your computer's built-in speakers will be turned off.

have you tried by double clicking the blue tooth icon in my computer

what antenna ?
for Aspire 3680, it already have antena for wireless.
that antena, 1 side is connected to wireless card, it's in the back of laptop, you need to open it (open the cover on the back).
the other side is inside the lcd panel, if you open the lcd cover, the antena is close to lcd latch.

if you mean other antena, i amnot sure if you can attached it with aspire 3680
