Depending on your heat source (gas or electric), your problem could be one of the following:

* if electric: heat element, thermostat or timer

* if gas: gas coils, radiant sensor, thermostat or timer

Note: In either case, check to ensure that the dryer is receiving the proper amount of electricity (110 volts for gas & 208-220 volts for electricity).

Timer ticking and heating element activating when dryer is off

One thing to check is if the heater is shorted to frame.Remove the wires and do the checking. If that is fine then the only way the heat can come on at all is IF the motor is running. So check between terminals one and 2 for continuity with the motor NOT running. If you get a reading then your motors cent switch is stuck. You can sometimes oil the springloaded sliding switch but most times the springs have broke on it.

MY DRYER HAS NO HEAT. IT RUNS FINE, BUT NO HEAT.

If that dryer is clear of lint then most likely you just need a new heating element. If it has lint buildup in the vent and lint inside the machine I would suspect a tripped safety limit is the problem. If it appears yall have a good element and all of the safetys have continuity then you might have a bad timer. Most American models have 120 volt motors however the element is 5000 watts and works on 240 volts. If the breaker was bad the dryer would run but you would have no heat. Rare but it happens.

I have a Roper Dryer Model #REX3514PQ0 and it's about 5 or six years old. I was drying my laundry. The first load dryed fine. One the second load I notice that the setting nob up top was not moving and...

What I would do is pull the dryer out and unplug the power cord. I would remove the rear cover and check the components back there for continuity.f08dda1.jpg83a4f65.jpg15ccca9.jpgIf all of that is good then the timer or breaker might be bad. Why? The timer calls for heat through the RH leg. The amp draw from the heating element arcs up the contact point inside the timer. The motor runs on 120 volts the heater runs on 240 volts. So the breaker will take a beating on the heater side of it. The dryer will hower still run. To recap It could be the heater the limits the time or an electrical problem.6db32c2.jpga2de035.jpg

The unit runs but no heat.

Your limit switch has tripped. You will find this small switch near the burner that is the size of a dime. Press the small button between the wires firmly to reset it.

Dryer won't run.

First, there is an excellent chance you have some kind of flood damage insurance.  It may pay for part of the repair.  You did not tell us what is not working but I'll guess it is the motor.  On many models, there is a switch on the motor which will not allow the elements to heat unless the motor is powered and running.

Kenmore Elite He3 electrical dryer runs but it does not heat up

odd but it worked for me!! Try resetting the circuit breaker. It will not appear to have blown, this is because only 1/2 the breaker needs resetting, This is much cheaper to try before calling for service or parts. My 2002 E3t has only had this problem once and the resetting worked without further issues for 2 years now. Good luck

I have A kenmore Elite Model #110.65942400 Ser MR2103237.

before you take it apart make sure you have not lost 1 phase of the 220 volt line into dryer , dryers will run and appear fine on 110 volts be will not heat check fuse or breaker and re-set breaker even if it does not appear tripped , if fuse in line turn off power and remove fuses and check with an ohm meter , then if you have a volt meter check for 220 volts @ socket of dryer , then we will talk dis-assembly
