im sure that the ps3 does not have infra red and the offical ps3 remote works over bluethooth like the controlers

well reset both phones and try again...if still wont work then it's blutooth version problem can't do any thing

use the bluethooth device and software on pc from itv bluethooth free and syng software from microsoft and you need also bluethooth device like usb bluthooth stick

use the bluethooth function and a usb bluethooth stick in pc or laptop
