I'm having the same problem and it turns out to be the main board. This Service guide is for Version 1.0 but turned out to be helpful

There was a busted fusible coil in series with the main line supply. Changed it with an ordinary fuse. There are available voltages for 5V and 12 volts but still there is no power indication on the panel and never turns on. I checked the backlight but no output power. the system control has power supply of 3.26 volts. What really the problem of this unit?

Totally no power! I repaired myself the power supply (DC-DC inverter) but there were no power indicator and backlight.
my al1916 will not power on, after checking the power supply ive
noticed that part U101 is blown (melted) can someone tell me the exact
part so i can put a replacement in as there are no letters to tell me
which part this is as its melted and ive looked everywhere for the
service manual. im pretty sure its a voltage regulator of some sort.
also notice what could be a very slight bulge at the top of the c114
cap (400v 100uf)
I also have an AL1916W that has the same problem. Monitor doesn't turn on. Where on the circuit board is the component that you said was blown?
Left the monitor on overnight, found it dark in the morning. No power light, not working.
