Tv giving problems with vertical lines and shutting down

SOURCE: Picture goes dead after 5-10 minutes

You may have a loose solder joint causing this problem. If you can take it apart, you mihgt try spraying circuit cooler in various parts of the circuit but NOT in the high voltage or horizontal circuits.YOU MAY CAUSE AN ARC OR A COMPONENT TO SHORT SINCE THE SET HAS TO BE IN OPERATION WHEN YOU SPRAY. If you hit the bad connection the picture will come back on. When the picture zaps to the middle of the screen, is there just a bright line? If so, then you have a loose connection or a temperature problem in the vertical circuit. Stargazer

This sounds like something best handled by an experienced tech since the fix involves extreemly high voltages nearby,
If you have a very good knowledge of the inner workings of tv's then ask for more information.

SOURCE: rca 52 inch keeps shutting off and picture is curved

The curved picture indicates failing parts in the pin amp section and probably some faulty parts in the scan amplifier sections. The set is being turned off by the uPC because there is a fault indicated, and it is going in to protect mode.

The set will have to be properly serviced.

THE POWER SUPPLY OF YOUR TV WAS THE PROBLEM,YOU COLD SOLDER THE MAINBOARD OF YOUR TV,AND THE CRT SOCKET CONNECT TO THE TUBE IS ALSO COLDSOLDER,.

SOURCE: Turn tv on, shuts immediately off.

Same problem with my 28 inch 16:9 CRT Sanyo. I usually fix it by cutting the power to the outlet and then it works fine. Had it into the repair shop - and of course it never acts up there...
