Give the camera some time. Don't remove the battery till the reset is done. I hope your battery was charged before you started the reset.
If the battery runs out of power, you must charge it comlpete, before putting it in again. I hope the reset went well. If not only try a reset with a fully charged battery.
There is no complete reset, other than removing the batteries and letting the camera sit until the internal battery drains (at least 24 hours). There is a RESET command in the Setup menu, which will reset everything except Date/Time, Time Difference, Background Color, Battery Type, and Video System.
With your camera turned on and NOT connected to a computer.
-Press the menu button.
-Use the arrrows to select tools at the top if camera is selected.
-Adjust the arrows to select RESET ALL.
-Press the FUNC. SET button.
The following cannot be reset.
-The shooting mode.
-DATE/TIME, LANGUAGE, & VIDEO SYSTEM options
-White balance date recorded with the balance function.
Sounds like you didn't use the "safely remove hardware" function. Remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...try to turn it on. Let me know.
The error E:91 indicates a hardware malfunction in the Camera. In this case, you may try resetting the Camera to the original factory settings. Follow the steps given below to reset the Camera to the original factory settings: (a) Press the Menu button to display the menu screen. (b) After pressing the right arrow on the control button, go to the (setup) setting, then press the right arrow again. (c) Next, press the left/right/up/down arrow on the control button to select "Setup 1" option. (d) Then, select the "Initialize" option OK, OK. (e) Set the clock if date and time screen appear. (f) Next, turn off the Camera and remove the Battery pack and press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. (g) Then, reinsert the Battery pack and turn the Camera ON.
Performing all the above steps will reset the Camera to the original factory settings. After resetting the Camera to the original factory settings, please check the operation of the Camera. If the Camera continues to display the error E:91 then service will be required.
