Remote program How do you program a remote to a viper 560xv?

I know you are looking to have the remote starter run a third time but I would say you need to look at your Fuel Pressure Regulator on the Scion. Sounds like it is not holding fuel pressure at the fuel rail and that is why it requires a third Crank

From time to time the key gets out of place in the bypass module. You'll need to open the bypass box and make sure the key is properly held in place so that the signal is transmitted properly. You may also have a hood pin switch that is not working properly, it must not ground when the hood is closed.

There are other considerations. The neutral safety switch also can prevent the auto-start from working, it's just a matter of checking all of your leads and verifying that the component they are connected to are working properly. Your manual for the remote start system should include a troubleshooting guide, one may also be available from Viper.

get in vehicle turn key on with new key fob in car, let run for 20 or so then turn off . hit the unlock button it should be programmed but not promising anything lol

To enter programming mode Press the Program button on the back of the remote or hold the four remote control buttons on the front of the remote simultaneously until one long beep is heard. Programming Mode has now been entered.
Beep/Vibrate Mode Within five seconds of entering Programming Mode, press Lock. The remote control will beep once for on, twice for off. The vibrate icon (13) will also turn on/off with each press.

Here is how you program the viper 5101 remote.

Programming the Viper Remote Starter 5101

Unlock the doors before starting

Push and hold f button for 8-10 seconds until amber light is on solid

Push Remote start button for about 4 seconds till amber light flashes 3 times

Put key in IGN to the on position but don

1st you need to enter the remote into progamming Hold the Function button until the remote gives a long beep and LED light comes on the remote a (it takes about 8 sec.) Then press and hold the remote start buttom until the remote beeps 3 times and LED lights up. Now your ready to program the remote

One of the door has to be open . Insert the key - turn the key to the On position then press the button on the antenna once and then press it again and hold it

You hear a chirp and then you press the lock button on the remote and then you hear a second chirp to recieve confirmation and then release the button and the turn off the key .

The Viper alarms will accept (if I remember correctly), 4 codes at one time. That is, 4 individual remotes, or two remotes two times, or one remote 4 times. So, if you program your remote 4 times, it will essentially remove any previously programmed remotes. Another option, and you'll have to check with your dealer, but I think there is a way to delete ALL remotes, and then program your remaining remote one time, and again, all previously programmed remotes are now removed from memory. This was done by the manufacturer just for such events.
