I have a Sony HCD-GX450 stereo. Recenly, something has happened to it. It seems to be locked up some how. I mean, it's unresponsive to everything I do. I can't even turn it on or off. It's stuck on, but will not play any music. None of the buttons are functioning, but the lights around the volume knob are flashing as if it's receiving music. I tried cleaning the speaker wires. That didn't help. I also unplugged it for a day and plugged it back in. It's still doing the same thing. What should I do?
Many thanks!
Gary

Make sure that Loudness switch is turned off & bass is not boasted up. Most cars have small cheap speakers that can't handle the bass. also its better to cut the low frequency from the woofer using a passive or active crossover. Most nowadays head units have got some sort of built in crossover. Refer to your head unit manual.
