You can go to many shops and they sell them, depending on the model of your TV all you have to do is type in the code in the manual which comes with the universal remote control and it will control your tv.
I just spoke to customer service at Curtis because I had a similar problem. On the bright side, someone responded within a minute of my call and gave me the remote code number which is 2622. However, he also informed me that the LCD televisions are not compatible with cable or universal remotes. The customer service agent's exact words to me were, "you will have to use two remote controls." Sorry for the bad news....
I own a One-for-All universal remote, and my booklet says the setup code for a Curtis Mathes TV (without a built-in DVD or VCR) is one of the following numbers: 0030, 0047, 0054, 0060, 0093, 0145, 0154, 0166, 0451, 0702. I can not guarantee these numbers will work with your remote, but it is worth a try.
We also bought a universal remote to program a Curtis Mathis TV. We found the code by using the code search method. It works everything but the channel program feature. Does anyone know how to access that? BTW the remote is a GE 24921. Thanks
