VIZIO HDTV picture half fully green

I just bought in Oct. 2009 VIZIO Model # SV370XVT and when I turned TV on tonight had only half a good picture, the other half all green. I called VIZIO tech and she had me unplug TV. When I plugged it back in and turned TV on, the picture was fine again. What happened and does this mean I have a problem with the TV. First time I ever had a problem since I bought the tv in Oct 2009. Had been working great. Thanks.

your Main board went bad, common issue with these units. Need to be replaced, in tv land it called main board in computer world mother board. your unit has only two boards power board and that is good cause you get a amber to green to amber led. good luck Vizio field tech

The left half of the screen has a picture only, Vizio SV370XVT, bought dec 2010
Change input device to some other like a DVD that you are sure works. Look for loose contacts in power outlet, RC Jacks, sockets, cables.Swith off TV, swithc off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, call in a qualified service technician.

Use your remote and find RESET from the settings. I have a tendency to reset the sound on my TV's with all of my remotes, sometimes a different remote for a different TV or stereo will do something funky and turn off my sound the only way to get it back is to reset the settings and reprogram the channels.

This is for the 50" Vizio TV,

It sound like the control board has a problem. There is two way to fix this.

- Upgrade the firmware of the control board, If you can find the firmware upgrade device.
- Replace the control board (I think this the best solution)

those vizio plasma have a lot of problems, its still most likely the Ysus board, but it will have to be tested to know for sure. If you bought it at coctco you are in luck, if bought a couple of years ago they will give you a full refund. you can try replacing it yourself by checking shopjimmy.com or ebay
