Confirm that the sender did not insert the pages to be sent upside-down in their fax machine. This will give you blank pages. Otherwise your fax may have a memory problem.

This is an issue between the file you're trying to print and the printer not being able to read it correctly.
Try copying it and pasting it in a new document (preferrably different program) If that doesn't work, try to install and use another driver
Make sure the fax machine is plugged into a power source and also plugged into a working phone jack.
Turn the fax machine on.
Obtain the fax number of the destination fax machine.
Gather the documents you want to send and put them in the order you want them to be received.
Fill out a separate piece of paper called a coversheet with the recipient's name, fax number/phone number, your name, your phone number, a short message and number of pages (including coversheet).
Lay the documents face-up in the fax machine feeder tray with the coversheet on top
Dial the recipient's fax number - put 9 before the number and area code
Press the "fax" or "send" button, depending on the particular fax machine model
A second line isn't needed, this wouldn't cause blank pages to be printed. This could cause fax's not to be received if the line is in use. There could be 2 causes of blank fax's. Either the obvious which is the person sending the fax is faxing the document the wrong way up. Or the fax board on your copier has a malfunction. Because of the copier's age, this seems likely, although i hope not. hope this helps.
The fax machine that is sending you the fax may be also sending a confirmation page that is not needed or compatible with your machine.
I have an older machine that prints a confirmation page after each fax. People on the other end sometimes receive a blank page after each fax that I send them while my machine prints a mostly blank page with only a single line of text at the top with the date and time.

Can you make a copy and get a good print? Does the blank pages come from different people? If you still get a blank from making a copy, then try a different toner and or drum unit. Hopefully it is still under warranty.
