Wireless switch i have an acer laptop and my wirelesss switch that doesnt seem to work can anybody give me a soloution please

i have acer travelmate 290 laptop, recently I formated my laptop and I installed windows xp home edition on it, every thing works fine after I installed the operating system with my acer recovery disk, but when i switch on my wireless button it gives blue screen and immediatly restart the laptop. i tried uninstalled and installed the wireless drivers no luck.

Need your help !

try reinstalling driver, still doesnt work, replace keyboard for $20 in ebay

drivers possibly or if its a switch then a bad switch

Make sure you enable the wireless card in device manager.
and also check the wireless card switch (switch it to enable/disable wireless card) on the front (close to headphone jack). If it isnot working, it's something wrong with your wireless card.

okay......who is your internet provider??? if it is sasktel then they have a very helpful help line that that you can reach them at and their number is 1-800-773-2121. but before you do that....open your wirless conection options thing and then click advanced and then clik the litle square at the top that says let windows configure your wirless stuff (something like that :P) and then it should work...it did for me....but if that doesnt work give sasktel a call and they'll help you fix it :) (its 24/7 support so give em a call whenever :P)

On the front edge of the laptop there is a little switch to the left of the right hand speaker grill.

there is a slider switch or a push button switch on the front of the notebook and will flash up orange when connected.

Does it power up at all? Are any lights on when plugged in to the ac adapter?
