Printer I've just bought this Lexmark 640 series computer well thats what it says on the disc but the printer says Lexmark Z645 and it will not print at all and im sure that I've got every thing set up right.The first time that I've hooked it up to another computer it worked fine but know that I have it to another computer it's not working...any solutions.Your help would be great!!!!

Note: The Lexmark Z645 printer only works on Windows operating system. Unfortunately there are no Lexmark Z645 printer drivers available for Macintosh operating system.

You can download the Lexmark Z645 driver from the Lexmark website for free. Click on this link Lexmark Z645 Drivers. Select your operating system by clicking on change OS.


Then click on FILTER.


Click on the Complete Driver under Recommended Downloads. Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software. NOTE: Lexmark Z645 is supported on Windows only.

I do not have the disk but i do have several links here that you can get the download from i would suggest that if they offer you the full suite use it it gives you a lot more features to use with this printer ok just look at the links below I hope this is very helpful

Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Lexmark X and Z series printers do not function in a Citrix environment, see page 4 on the following document.

You may want to see if the Printer is actually compatible with Windows Vista first before you try anything else.

If your Printer is Listed Below, then unfortunately it will not run on your system unless you format the machine and downgrade to Windows XP. (Or obviously you can wait until the device is supported, but to be honest that could be months, years).
