Sound as though maybe you're trying to use a "boost" sim card on a Nextel phone. The phone has to be unlocked in order for that to work.

Your phone may state that you need the "special unlock" code but there is no such thing. This issue is rarely solved by powercycling the phone. In many cases the cusomer will have to take the phone to the nearest service and repair center for an exchange.

i have a motorola i560 and whenever i put in my sim and turn it on it ask for a special code
how can i get this special code

motorola i305, carrier was nextel. i try to put my att. sim card in the i305, but didn't work. Now the phone saids it needs a special code.  Does any body know the code and does this unlock the i305 that way i could use my att cincular sim card in it?

There is no actual "Special Code". The phone is programmed for one, but it won't work. If you can get to a Sprint Nextel repair center, ask them to use RSS to unlock the codeplug. Also note that many Nextel SIM cards will do this to a Boost phone.

the subsidy special code can only be given by customer care, just call into care, and they will be able to assist with that, unfortunately they are the only area to get the info, Let me know how it goes, Thanks
