Power-on password for a compaq evo

Power-on password for my Compaq Evo, I need to bypass it and access my computer

The motherboard # is SP#289767-001.

There are two other sets of numbers on the motherboard:
P639605P1066XC
AS#287579-101

Please follow bello mention steps;-

1. restart the system
2. press delete key till BIOS set up not comming
3. click on power mangment option
4. chouse "user Password" option
5. as you click on the user password opetion it will be display a box for password, press enter key and not set up a password. after that when you will restart your system, after that it will be bypass the power up password.

take off the battery and turn on computer then turn off , back the battery to its place again and turn your computer on , it will be reset

The password exists to protect you, if a thief is in possesion of your computer, and wants to use it. So, there is no way to "bypass" it.

Find your original sales-receipt, to prove that you are the owner, and contact Compaq, and ask for Technical Support.

How do you reset the computer to override the password to get in? Compaq Evo D300v

1. Unplug power to the computer.

2. Pop open the side panel.

3 Press and hold the cmos button for 5 seconds (labeled SW1) its sort of near the button battery.

4 Put the side panel back on.

5 Plug it back up and give it a go.

Compaq Evo D310 power on password reset

you can reset it easily by using the jumper near the bios battery (usually) on the motherboard then go into the bios settings at boot time. hope this helps

I have a compaq evo n400c needs a power on password key

If you forgot your password then you have to take your laptop to hp service centre. Because the laptop need to be disassembled before one can reset the poweron password.

Power-on password bypass

You'll need to get under the keyboard or open some of the available openings on the bottom of the laptop.

What you're looking for is a battery. This is known as the CMOS battery. Once removed, power on the computer.

If it doesn't prompt you for the password, then you have successfully erased the memory.
