LG 52SX4D 52 in. HDTV

TV has perfect picture but no sound. Only static noise. What can i do?

    I too have no sound from my TV, everything else works fine but there is no sound, even on a snow screen we get no noise.

Did you fix your problem? If so, how?

I am having the same problem and at times it tells me my lamp is bad, which I know it is not because that is new.

Any ideas?

It may be the main board as per LG when a tech came over to my house to look at it the p/n is 6871VMMZL7A . you see i had picture and no sound, but i also had no picture with component inputs. but when the test call his LG support hot line they told him that. but unfortunatly he screw up my tv more. because it now does not power up. I think he connect the wrong cable

I can hear the sound but i can only see the picture in Video mode and PIP mode..... LG model # 52sx4d-ub

You have a bad mainboard.

They are available at http://www.encompass.com and are not that difficult to replace. This is a common problem with the LG units and don't be surprised if it takes a while to get a board.

Tv Turns on then stops after a few minutes
This set uses a lamp and a bad lamp will cause this symptom. You should be able to get the lamp out yourself and get a part # off it.
