Black ink fades when printing a multi page document HP6210
When printing a multi page document the black ink fades part way down the sheet. If you restart it does the same thing.I cleaned the contacts on the cartridge and on the mating contacts on the printer.
What I ended up doing was a partial reset - pull the power plug and hold # and 6 keys down whilst plugging the power connector back in. This seemed to work fine. Now it will print out a multi-page document without starting to fade after half the first page.

The black ink cartridge is cloged or empty. Try to refill it in case of empty, or clean in case of cloged ( left the printhead for 1 hour in clean solution or in hot water if you don't have )
the kodak system uses a countdown system that assumes you use a certain amount of ink re sheet regegardless of how much ink you accutualy use, the counter system starts everyt ime you turn the printer on, so the only way to extend the life of the ink is not to turn the printer off netween use, which the domestic useres do not of course do what i did throw the printer away and get a new one not Kodak sh*t
check your printer settings, make sure color only is not checked off, or if you mainly print black and white documents, you should have that option checked, you may have to go into advance printer options to do this.
The print heads don't appreciate being out of ink so the Brother printer has sensors to prevent that but the tape defeated that prevention. Maybe more cleanings or maybe a cartridge with printhead cleaning solution will help. Otherwise, I fear a new printer.
