Audio Failiure i have a hitach 42edt41...plasma tv, and its been about a year old. i turned my tv on and i started to hear some sort of noice from the speakers through the tv. when i turn the tv to a different angle, the audio stops working. so as of now the audio isnt working, and the video is working. video perfectly fine, however now the audio has no sound comming out of it. anyone got an idea?

I have the same tv and had the same problem. I found a posting that stated to re-solder a connection on the cable for the "y" boards. I used this and my tv is perfect now. The part that needs to be re-soldered is the ribbon cables at the bottom of the tv that go from the boards straight to the screen. On the inside of this ribbon cables there are 4 small components that have "100" on them. On each end of each of these pieces, re-solder them. Since I had my tv completely apart I re-soldered all of them across the bottom. No problems now!

make sure that the connection you are using is providing audio to the tv. If it is VGA, or DVI, those cables do not carry audio, only video.

Plasma tv's don't last long....buy a led tv.

I have the same green dots that are seen especially when the bacground picture is dark or black. Mine does not seem to be changing when it warms up, and I also get it on my digital cable as well as on any DVD's I play. Please help with any advise. I think it was always there, but I assumed that a dgital cable upgrade would fix it - I should have known better...

yes it is the tech is going to tell u no but they are wrong it could be and i have the solution

unplug. leave off for a few minutes. small chance it will reset.
also, it might have lost its input setting and is no longer looking at the input you send the source signal to.
