Panasonic wj hd316a accessing through verizon router

If you're trying to access it from outside your network, you will need to setup port forwarding to whichever the recorder uses. Google "Port forward <your router model"

How can i locked my router so that outsider will not access to my wireless router

You will need to access your router through the interface and enable security. Depending on the router you will have an option of WEP (less secure), WPA (more secure) or WPA2 (most secure). You will need to enter a name for in the SSID field (this is the name that will be visible to your wireless device), Enter a network key (write this down, you will need it later) and set the network authentication to shared.

Then when connect to the router with your wireless device it will ask you for the network key that you entered earlier. Now your wireless network traffic will be encrypted and not accessible without the network key.

3 failed attempts to connect HP DV6t laptop

First as a test, turn off the wireless security, and see if the laptop can connect.

If it can connect with security turned off, then it is likely that you are making some type of mistake with the password. (Such as caps lock being on, or having a keyboard error.)

Good Luck!

I've locked the wifi connection so only my laptop can access it how do i open it to make it free for everyone around the wifi router?

Just "undo" what you did to "lock" it.
Then, run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard",
and pick an SSID and a password,
and tell the password *ONLY* to your friends/family,
since you don't want somebody sitting in their car, outside your home,
to "steal" your Internet access (for "hacking" purposes).

Static IP on machine, no outside access

Double check that the Default Gateway in TCP/IP properties is the routers LAN IP address (By default this is 192.168.1.1) Without a gateway installed, there will be no Internet access. After verifying this go to Start>Run and when the "Run" window appears type command into the "Open" Field, then click OK Once the Command prompt appears type in: ping 207.69.188.185. If you don't get a reply, the gateway is not installed. If there is a gateway already installed, check for any third party firewalls that may be installed on your computer. These can sometimes block Internet access. For more information please see the related article on assigning a static IP address behind the router. If still having problems, contact Linksys Technical Support.
