PRINTER PARTS AT END OF SERVICE LIFE -ERROR MESSAGE. WHAT COULD IT BE? HOW DO I FIX IT?

The maintenance request error is actually a WasteInk Ink Pad Error and usually your remedy is:

1. Replace the Waste Ink Pad/Pads with a new one/ones (many people ignore thisone, and they just follow #2)
2) Reset the Internal Waste Ink Pad Counter by using SSC Utility

you need to reset your printer. For this your need a resetter programme.

This message indicates that the porous waste ink pads inside your product are near the end of their service life. Please see the Epson Ink Pads Reset Utility web page for more information.

1. I recommend that you contact the contact the manufacturer. There may be certain procedures that may not be available to you the end user to do self repair.

The printer is telling you that some parts are worn-out -- "end of life" -- and your printer either needs to have some parts replaced. Or, replace the entire printer, after comparing the cost with an estimate of parts/labour to fix the old printer.

When turning power on, hold down STOP and B&W buttons together and this should fix error.
