Have you tried replacing the ribbon cartridge? If that doesn't resolve the problem, then there is a fault with the thermal imaging head. You did say both Recieved faxes and copies, correct? If faxes you send out are clear, then the above mentioned would be correct. Let me know, please.
When you hear the fax signal press the start button on your machine. If this does not work attempt to just make a copy of a document without sending to test the document feeder - help the document by gently pushing the document into the machine when it should be feeding. If you can feel the machine trying to grab it but it doesn't have enough strentgh or it will feed with your help then the feed rollers are probably dirty and you may be able to open up the top cover and clean the rubber rollers with alcohol or degreaser. If the feed rollers do not even turn when trying to make a copy then you may have a motor, belt or clutch problem. If it copies well but will not send, then you will probably have a modem or fax lead problem. Try a new fax lead.
your toner has nothing to do with sending/receiving faxes. If you can print to the xerox...something is wrong with the software.. delete and re-install software..Xerox website is useless check the black sensor that dangles into the paper tray. wiggle it up and down, ahten resintalled the tray
Your fax machine probably has what is known as a "separation pad". This is a part near the rubber roller thst starts the blank paper on its way through the machine. It is supposed to let only one sheet through at a time but when it's surface wears, it doesn't function properly. A service technician is needed to replace the part.
This maybe down to the other persons fax machine if your copy is coming out perfect try sending it to a different fax number to see what happens.
If the same thing happens press the menu key and you are looking for a heading call setup or machine settings within one of those will be TTI settings and make sure that reduction send is not on.
Hope this helps sorry a little vague but have manual at work
If its reduced in size during transmit or copy then simply place a letter size document in the feeder and close the two sliders up to the sides of the paper. If you don't close the slider up to the paper it will go into auto reduction
There should not be a problem with TX on LGL paper. If you want to configure the machine to recieve LGL on a regular basis: Press "MENU" 1-3. Then use the up/down arrows to select LGL. "MENU", "EXIT". That should do it. Good luck!
