Either the water cannot be pumped away due to a blockage in the pipe OR the membrane is covered in limescale and no longer operates as it should, try soaking it in a descaler and cold water for 24hrs but it may take 3-4 attempts.

Saniplus has continual loud noise and won'y switch off

That could be due to the membrane (#15) in the schematic diagram, the membrane might be stuck in the on position or it might be warped, that's why the unit is staying on the whole time and not shutting off. The membrane is what activates the pump on and off. You will have to open up the unit and inspect it. You can also visit their website at www.saniflo.com to download the installation manual.

Sani plus motor continuing to stay on after the water has gone.

The Saniplus works on a pressure chamber ((float switch) i suggest that you remove all the piping attached the unit, remove the pump completely out the back of the toilet, pry open the lid using a flat head screwdriver, remove 2 or 3 screws from front and back of pump casing. Then the motor with pressure chamber can be lifted out the top of the casing as 1 piece. The pressure chamber is a white casing attached to the motor and where the power cord comes out the top. At the bottom of the pressure chamber you will find a black rubber membrane, it might be warped or solids could be build up at the bottom not allowing it to shut off. If you need to order parts you will have to call Saniflos hotline.

After I flush the toilet, the motor continues to run and not stop. The only way to stop the motor is to kill the power to the unit. Please advise. Thanks

The float or float switch is sticking. You will need to get into the pump and clean the area.

Sanipro xr is less than 6 months old been working fine but has recently become rather noisy. Sometimes goes off in the middle of the night for no reason.

Water pressure makes the unit kick on and off. Somehow water is draining back into the pump casing, check the flapper on the check valve inside the discharge elbow, it may not be closing properly or may be obstructed allowing waste water to drain back into the pump. Also check the flapper on the flush valve inside the toilet tank (water closet) the flapper may be leaking water into the bowl and from the bowl into the pump casing sitting behind. As far as making a loud noise, there could be a blockage on the drain pipe, blade or impeller. The discharge pipe may be loose, not clamped against the wall and is rattling against the wall when in use.

Pump will not cut out

Water pressure makes the unit kick on and off. There is a pressure chamber (float switch) inside the pump casing. You will need to pry open the lid with a flat head screwdriver, remove 2 screws in front and 1 at the back of the pump casing. The motor with pressure chamber can be removed from the top, the pressure chamber is a small white casing attached to the motor (power cord comes out the top) at the bottom of the pressure chamber you will find a black rubber membrane (float switch) there could be a piece of hard solid stuck at the bottom not allowing it to shut off or the membrane could be warped, if is warped it will need to be replaced. Also the micro switch inside the pressure chamber may be stuck in the on position. Pressing up and down on the membrane manually will help loosen up the micro switch in case is stuck.

How can I gain access to the float switch which activates the pump?

http://www.plumbingmall.com/PDFs/Saniflo/SaniPlus_installation_US.pdf

It has a micro switch that activates the pump .Look at page 9 in this manual for switch location.
That should be the float control for this system the micro switch. Hope this will help you out.

Saniflo Plus

Soak it in descaler and cold water for 24hrs then try again (may take 3-4 attempts) or remove pump/motor from the tank, find oval black rubber membrane, should be able to hear click of switch underneath when membrane is pressed, new membrane required if it is not flexable.

The small pump runns all the time We need to switch of the power to stop the pump. But it works OK

Sounds like the float is stuck up. Thump the holding tank a couple of times with your hand to see if it wiggles loose. May have to open it up to see. If a tampon was put in the toilet it could be causing this problem.

Our Saniplus pump runs for no apparent reason. Do I need a plumber, an electrician or a new unit?

if the pump operates then the pump is ok. if the pump switches on for "no reason", this indicates that the saniflo unit is filling slowly with water. as you have a saniplus, then you probably have a handbasin and bath / shower connected to it. If the taps / valves drip, or the wc cistern "leaks" into the bowl then these could be the sources.
