Lets do some diagnosis.. if it's possible, try hooking another known good sub up to the amp and see if that works. if it doesnt, it's an issue with your amp. if it does work though, it's an issue with your sub. or the wiring. if it's a dual voice coil sub, make sure you've got both positives hooked up to positive from the amp, and both negatives hooked up to negative from the amp. if you've accidently got positive from the amp going to positive of one voice coil then to the negative of the other, and the negative from the amp going to the negative of one voice coil then to the positive of the other, the voice coils will be pushing against eachother cancelling eachother's movements out. and this will fry the sub. OR the sub is already fried.

I have 2 12" kicker solar baric squares L7 hooked up to a kicker cx 1200.1 amp as soon as I turn bass knob up it cuts out and amp goes into protective mode plus I have a 3 microfarad copasitor hooked up...

Sounds like your wiring is giving you the wrong impedance,Check crutch field advisors website for sub box construction and detailed wiring instructions.

When i turn my two 12" kicker l7 up they cut out

You could be having an amp overload condition. Make sure your speaker impedance matches the amp specification. Esp if you have bridged the Amp the impedance should be at least 4 Ohms and not below. When you connect two 4 Ohms speaker in parallel the total impedance becomes 2 Ohms !!!.

My 2006 12" L7 kicker sub isn't working like it should. It simply sounds like an extra speaker and produces minimal bass. All the wires are correct, I have checked and rewired it several times just to make...

On the amp there should be High pass and a low pass setting. Put it on low pass cause if its on high pass or in between it produces normal noted like a speaker. Low pass will filter out all the high frequencies.

Kicker sub wont work

Im guessing that it is possibly blown... either you ran too much power to it, or it was hooked up wrong... you should unscrew the sub from the box and look inside to make sure that it is connected correctly.... positive to positive, negative to negative,,, if they so much as touched then the L7 could very well be blown.... smell the magnet and if you smell a burnt smell... it is blown... maybe turn your amp down a little... its possible that it is also in protect mode because you are running too many watts to the amp. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.... Please rate! :D And good luck... i really hope its not burnt out. that stuff is not cheap.

Sony xm1652z amp problems

it sounds like you have the high lvl inputs on the amp hooked up instead of the rca's. this will cause the boominess for a few seconds when the amp is on and right when you turn it off
