Motorola HS820 - cannot hear anything nor can others hear me

I have a Motorola HS820 and have recently reset it and synched it up again via your instructions (You need to disconnect it from the charger and keep the button pressed to put it in pairing mode, then associate with the phone with the PIN 0000.) When I use it to call someone (with my blackberry) I can hear the little three-toned beep when it connects and disconnects, but I cannot hear anything when others talk and they can't hear me. I also cannot hear their phone ringing on my bluetooth. The volume is up all the way.

It turns out it was the Blackberry's problem, which could only be solved by a 're-boot' - take off the back of the Blackberry, pull out the battery for 10 seconds or so, and replace it. The BB will 'reset' and all was fine then.

Pairing Motorola HS820 with Blackberry 8310

Hi,

there is really no fail safe method to pairing a bluetooth device.
The main thing is recognition. i,d suggest trying to press the different buttons on the transmitting bluetooth device, whilst attempting to pair. i.e volume up/down or on/off et,c. to enable the device-blackberry to find and sync. i,d think the device that needs to be configured or setup correctly is the blackberry rather than the bluetooth device.
try changing the phone settings. to accept all incoming signals on bluetooth, or disable encryption.

hope this helps.

My Phone Does Not Locate My HS820 Headset

Try the following:
1) Make sure the HS820 is fully charged up.
2) Remove the battery and SIM card from your phone for about 1 minute and put them back in.
3) As soon as your phone is booted up, access the "find devices" function for adding your HS820.
4) Hold the HS820 button down until the blue light is solid.
5) Then do whatever your phone requres to "search for devices."
6) Here's the key: as the phone is searching for devices, PHYSICALLY TOUCH touch the HS820 to the phone.

I couldn't get my HS820 to synch with my new Blackberry Curve the normal way and ultimately got it to synch by going through this process.

Mic doesn't work

Is anything blocking the mic? Maybe there's a sensitivity setting on the headset or the phone? I'd recommend connecting it to a Bluetooth Enabled PC and try recording with sound recorder to test the sound quality/volume. If it's ok on the computer, it's a problem with your phone. If it's still quiet on the computer, I'd recommend you send the headset away for repairs/replacement of defective device.

Motorola HS820

the always on light mens that it is in pairing mode and wont go out until it has paired with a phone, if you wish to turn it off, press and hold for 3 seconds, it will then flash 3 times and then go off. Try pairing again by pressing and holding the button until the light stays on.

Motorol HS820 Speaker issue

User "Nitol" seems to be having the same problem with this headset. I'd recommend calling motorola support, see what they think of it. If you're lucky, they'll recognise the apparently common probem and help you out.
