You might have this fixed already. If not, you may help me help you by saying what happens. Does the machine show a jam because paper is a different length than programmed into machine? This may cause machine to never "complete" printing your received fax. I will see if anything else comes to me.
You are correct! The Do-hickie is actually called the "Paper Tray Sensor Flag" and it isn't supposed to be dangling down. When it is dangling and won't stay seated, it has been broken by accidental replacement of the paper drawer.
You will have to get ahold of your local Ricoh Repair shop and have them replace this sensor for you. Then it should detect paper properly again.
Have you removed the paper tray to see if there is a piece of paper behind the tray ? Paper will frequently go behind the tray and wind up in the size switches and or the tray lift gears.
I would check that first. Let me know.
Please check the paper size sensor on the paper tray, The sensor is located in the right-front corner of the tray when you will open it see do is the correct size set and see the position of the paper as it is set in the tray.
Please answer do this is helpful for we to know do have need for some more information
