Hi,
When the head alignment sheet was not filled in properly Printer show E7.

Confirm circles on head alignment sheet are filled in properly MP160

Head Alignment Sheet The head alignment sheet was not filled in properly.Confirm the circles were filled in as follows:
Good example:

If more than one circle is filled in, reprint the Head Alignment Sheet.
Print Head Alignment

Ensure that the printer is powered on and open the paper output tray. (Confirm that the paper thicknwhat is E7 on the canon mp160, and not working - mp170_on_outputtray.gif left.)
Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the auto sheet feeder (or ASF).
Press the <Black> or <Color> button. The machine prints the head alignment sheet.

Open the document cover and load the head alignment sheet on the platen glass.

Note: - Place the printed side down.- Align the sheet with the alignment mark (shown by the arrow) on twhat is E7 on the canon mp160, and not working - 05sj00106_08.jpgorner of the platen glass.

Alignment Mark
Close the document cover gently.
Confirm that U is displayed in the LED.
If U is not displayed, press the <Maintenance> button several times until [U] is displayed in the LED.
Press the Black or Color button.
The machine scans the head alignment sheet and aligns the print head automatically.

You will need ink for the printer to work.
The printer will not start any operation if there is an error.
In this case E4 E5 E7 will shown on th LED

My new canon photo printer is printing off color.

just clean the heads and do an alignment. if it still giving problems return the printer. its new anyway. its still under warranty.

When i start printer E 7 2 error messge is displaying

Probably It show 2 (two) kinds of signal or error message.E2 or E7.
just problem E2 mean no insert recording paper.
Problem solve: when show this error press color key or black key then try to feed paper this printer.
E7: when show E7 some fine cartridge are not install properly right position.
Problem solve: follow mark where install color and black cartridge.

WIA Canon MP160 driver lost, please tell me where i can download for free

Choose your OS, then download the software in the drivers section.

After you download the driver then install it and your printer should work at that point.
