Denon DVM-1815 player

There is a belt that drives the chager tray. It is engaged with its loading motor pully and gear set that drives the tray mechnism. To replace the belt, you have to disassemble the mechanism. Actually it is a skilled work, and without knowing its disassembly method, it is almost impossible to repalce the belt by yourself. I've the dissasambly and reassembly method, described wiht help of pictures and all other details. If you have an interest to get it, you have to buy one amoung my audio services, advertised in Fixya site. Unlike previous Fixya site, this new site is different. With old site, I've the facility to send you pictures and PDF files, but with the new, I can't send any of such documents to you.
The document I've with me is an original published by Denon, Japan.
If you want to do this work by yourself, and want to get this document, do the needy. OK.

purchase a dvd lazer cleaning disc from your local electronics supply compant and run it through the player several times this will fix the problem so long as the lazer is not fully burned out

Sound like the laser needs replacing. You can find a disassembly guide in google if you're game. It's fairly easy, but important to be gentle with internal cables. The laser replacement should be on ebay or such. Make sure it's the right model number. any questions, email.

probaly laser pickup assembly i am troubleshooting a DVM 715 now and i see no output from laser when it is loading be careful not to look directly into laser use a white sheet of paper to reflect beam on

no the problem is at the plasma you will have to change the setting back to the scale range that will accept the signals from the Denon, see Plasma's manual for instructions

I think DVD player is hooked with TV via component video input.

Check component video connections and make sure each color wire connect in same correspondence color in both units, TV and DVD Player.

Red to red, green to green and blue to blue.

it sounds like you might need to clean the laser eye, try that and get back with me

If the pickup in the unit goes bad it can cause this. I'm not sure on a price of a pickup for your unit but it shouldn't be too expensive.
