When I conect my TV, Standby relay clicks on and off continusly. Tv won't turn on. I check my diode and transistor who control the standby relay and it is fine. I also replace the flyback and I still in the same situation. What do you recommend to check next?

SOURCE: Standby relay clicks on and off

Hi there!
I do not have the specs on your TV but this is standard on all TVs. Only different numbers. The Line or Flyback transistor is located next to the Flyback Transformer, usually mounted on a Big Heatsink. When removed and measured you should read a short between Base and Emitter on the Transistor itself. This is an internal Diode on the Package. Now make sure not to short anything when switching the TV on without the Transistor and then measure your Voltage on the board where the Transistor had been removed( between Base and Collector) 145V. Good Luck,JUS004

Tv won't turn on- its in standby mode. the young lad had the remote before it was turned on.... could he have pressed somethin on the remote which is now preventing it from coming on?

Powering up do you hear the relay click then you may see the display flash (not necessarily), but then the TV clicks back into standby mode. If so there is a component failure.
will need diagnosis by a repair shop. Too many different components it could be for me to guess. but
the common repair kit containes1 fuse (F302), 1 diode (D304), the power resistors (R927 and R929 for the board revisions with these two resistors) and the IC301 voltage regulator IC.

The tv wont power on at all

Hello,

Your TV Won't Turn On
If your TV won't turn on, you should check the power cord. Make sure that it is securely in the wall plug. Sometimes the power cord has burned out and needs to be replaced. You may also want to check the batteries in the remote to make sure that they are working properly. If otherwise
Common problem with this TV is the power supply module.
Check the power supply; look for bad caps with leaking/bulging tops, check to see if you have standby +5vdc at the power supply connector, the front red indicator will not be on if you do not have this +5vdc standby voltage due to shorted out power transistor and zener diode, if otherwise, Power supply board just die.It can be dead at anytime.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help to solve the problem.....

Turn it on yesterday and i can hear a clicking noise for approx 5 secs then the standby light comes on and no picture. any advice, or reccomened repair

1st POSSIBILITY.....usually after 4 or 5 yrs EHT ( transformer that supplies voltage to tube ) becomes weak - then TV won't get ON.. means no picture no sound ( in some TVs ''garrrr'' like sound comes - that sound is from EHT.... but it is rare....some times ''click click'' sound comes...it is from relay switch ) ..... but LED blinks - in some TVs along with EHT 1 or 2 components like resistor, transistors, etc will also gets deffective ................ 2nd POSSIBILITY - main capacitor (very big in size) is blowing off...................... - so solution is TV circuit board has to be checked to find whether only EHT is deffective or other components are also deffective - price of EHT will be between Rs.250 (US$ 5) to Rs.600 ( US$ 12) & price of capacitor will be between Rs.50 ( US$ 1) to Rs.150 ( US$ 3) ..........iam from bangalore.....i have no idea about component's price & service charge in your area.....this problem cannot be solved by user unless user is a technical person having idea about components (resistors, transistors,diodes,...etc..), having multimeter , soldering iron & other tools...so my suggestion call TV service engineer or contact panasonic service centre

When i switch on and then press for channel the standby light goes dull and tv does not come on. tried power down and trying again but no luck

There is probably a leaking diode or something that is overloading the power supply in the TV. I had recently fixed an HDTV in which the standby light was flashing on and off dimly but would not come on. I measured the standby voltage and it was only a little over 2V which should have been 5 volts. Then I checked to see if the standby circuit was switching ( they switch on and off at 100,000 times per second if operating). It would switch on then off the on then vice versa every fraction of a second and that indicates overloading. Sure enough i found a diode that was shorted almost completely. All semiconductor only let current to pass one way . These are diodes, transistors and chips. They are like electical one way valves and when they get messed up the leak untill current goes both ways and this causes a short which in turn overloads the system and cause shut down. You can try to learn how to test these device using a the diode feature in a digital multimeter.

No remote control works anymore

good evening friend. you seem to be having problems in your standby circuits if no remote works on the tv, but you can operate it manually. the standby circuits always stay on that is how you are able to power up the set. go to your remote infrared circuits when this problem exists find the standby transformer and the other parts of this circuit. check for opened or shorted components. find the transformer fuse and bridge rectifiers. somtimes these can be on a seperate board. you might even find a transistor and zener diode regulation circuit in the output voltage source. be very mindful of that standby crcuit. thank you and please rate this solution

Tv keep going on standby when you turn it on

tv goes into standby all the time if a power supply is not fine, what happens is that a power supply produces two voltages, one small one powers a standby components and bigger voltage powers a line transformer which later produces more small voltages,
then later cancels the first small voltage.

chec your power supply semi conductors like, transistors, diodes and small value resistors, on your power supply. some power supply uses a IC to oscillate a ht. so check a supply at a w/shop.

Hi there!

You have an obvious error state on the unit. You may want to try and remove the Line Transistors to check for voltage first. In the region of 145V(between base and collector. If the set then stays in standby you may have a vertical error. Also check 5V rail to the processor and suspicious looking components like caps. Good Luck,JUS004

Television will not come on after low voltage surge

Good day.

Check on the horizontal output transistor, vertical transistor, and loose contacts along MICOM and system ICs.
