Question about ATN Aries 390 Paladin Weapon Sight
I have a older model monocular night owl which was working fine up until a few months ago. I recently tried to use it but I can't see anything through it now. I changed the batteries and still nothing but darkness. I bought it second hand but it worked fine then. It has not been rough handled nor have I tried to look through it into direct light. Is this a fixable problem or should I justt junk the thing?
I Have two Mk 6500 they are both pitch black inside. YES i put new battery in same thing. Is there a way I can fix this my self, they want $800.00 to fix one at ATN... these are not junk scopes..

Not to say that night owl isn't a good company, but i think your product may just be getting old. I don;t know how often you have used your monocular, but for a second hand deal i would say it was a steal for you. The light gathering elements and infrared filaments are all part of a complex system in your monocular and any number of those things could have corroded or worn out. Repairs would be difficult at best to get on an older model from the company. This leaves you in a great position. The new systems have only gotten better, so a new purchase would be worth your while but since you've had a taste of what you can and can't do with NV you're able to decide whether or not you upgrade, or just do without.
