The hard drive is located in the rear of the base. Remove the black plastic cover. Just look for the black screws holding it in then pull it back and up. The hard drive is held in place by four screws on the back side. Some components in this PC are for laptops however the hard drive is a standard PC size and connections.
Remove the Screws placed at the back of the Cabinet & Remove the hard disk connections. Unscrew the harddisk screws and remove it. After that place the new harddisk in place of old harddisk. After that place the connections of mohterboard as they were before..
Hi JG78 - If you bought the stock model of your PC it originally came with a SATA 250GB drive. SATA drives have a faster transfer rate so if your PC can handle it ( and it can ) then you definitely want to get a SATA drive. Make sure you back up any info, documents, pictures, etc on cd's or dvd's. Or when you install the new drive you can just make your old drive a secondary drive and transfer the info you need to save before you remove it. Also be sure you have all software and drivers you need before you install the new drive so you won't have the hassle of having to locate them later. If you need to download them you can put them on a cd so they'll be ready to go. If this answered your question PLEASE rate this as fixed. If you need more help or assistance with this just add a comment and I'll be glad to give you a hand. Thanks.
