I am trying to activate my bluetooth on my Samsung sgh-u700 but get an error message that reads Bluetooth activation failed or it hangs on the screen that says activating Bluetooth. Please assist

Hy gcahig, follow the instruction (note :if my solution was helpful please rate the answer) :STEP 1. Locate the Bluetooth Settings Menu
To pair the handset with a Bluetooth Device follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press the right soft key for Menu
2. Select Settings (9)
3. Select Bluetooth (6)

STEP 2. Activate Bluetooth and Search for Device

1. Select My Devices (2)
2. Search for the Bluetooth device by pressing the left soft key for Select
3. Press the left soft key for Yes to Activate Bluetooth and start the search

STEP 3. Pair with Selected Device

1. Highlight the desired Bluetooth Device, using the navigation keys, then press the left soft key for Select
2. Enter the Passkey "0000" then press the left soft key for Select
3. The handset will display a brief message stating connecting followed by connected
4. After being successfully connected you will return to the "My Devices" screen.

I had the same problem with a Samsung L700. Turn it off and then on, it should help. If not visit a Samsing Service Point.

Use the Samsung PC Suite -- get the software here:
For Windows 2000/XP

For Windows Vista
If you've misplaced the PC-connecting cable that should have come with the phone in the box, try connecting to the software via Bluetooth. Of course, you'll have to make sure Bluetooth is on for both the phone and the PC for that.

HI,

Please pair the device with the phone? if not then read the manual of the bluetooth and pair them first.Also try turning the cell off & removing the battery and then turn oin again to see if the issue is solved.

I too had the same prob!

Here's what u have to do (the method that worked for me!) :-

*Go to Settings>Bluetooth>
*It displays options like 1. Activation, 2. My Devices etc.
Select "My Devices"

*Then select "Search for new devices"

That way it automatically turns the bluetooth on and searches for devices!! (quite odd if u ask me!)

After u have transferred ur stuff, u can deactivate it by using the "Off" option from Activation

your bluetooth inside the phone does not make proper elctrial contact on the board ta it to the service provider to re install the bluetooth device. advice by dogy.

Plz confm error message or contact service centre.
