Either the hot water solenoid is w/o power or is defective and you need to check its coil for power and then coil continuity,if some warm water is getting by the valve your washer screen in the hose may be plugged, replace them both, hot and cold

its where the water hoses hook to the back of the machine, you need to remove the hoses then it should have screws holding it to the unit(on some machines) some you may need to open the machine, then it will have 2 wires going to each solenoid, take an ohmmeter and test them for continuity,if no continuity its bad,you can also take an old electrical cord and hook to the terminals and plug and unplug the cord and you will hear a click if the solenoid is good and operating, the hose washers are there too

your solenoids are on the inside of the machine where the water hoses hook to the machine, they look like 2 small bobbins and will have 2 terminals on them, some are ganged together and share a common terminal,so the center is the common terminal and each outer terminal is for each independent solenoid

Fisher paykel gwl15 squeal while filling

1. Does the squeal go away if you choose a different temperature, eg, a hot wash?
2. Check the strainers/filters where the inlet hoses screw onto the washer:
- turn off water at the wall.
- start a warm wash to release pressure from hoses, then switch off machine.
- remove inlet hoses and inspect for blockage/debris. Then, place hoses directly into where the clothes go then carefully turn the water back on at the wall to check flow.
- Also check strainers/filters at other ends of hoses.
3. If all seems OK, new water valve(s) may be required. The rubber in the water valves can harden over time.

No hot or warm water, checked hot water supply and inlet screen, all OK. cold water only.

You need to replace the "hot water inlet valve". If you have have cold and hot water at the pipes and only cold coming it the valve is bad. Replace with this part.

Hello ,after using the machine, water keep dripping inside even I'm not using it, it has been doing that for several weeks, thanks for your help. alex

Hi Alex. Welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

Water leaking by when the unit is supposed to be off is caused by water leaking by the inlet water valve diaphram.

Here is what you can do in an attempt to clear any internal debris of the water valve.

Both wall faucets off
1. Disconnect One hose from the water valve and remove the inlet screen by using a knife blade on the outer edge of the screen.
2, Reconnect that hose to the water valve.
3. Place the wall end of the hose in a bucket
4. Turn on the water at the wall for the hose that is still connected to the wall.
4. Select WARM wash and start a fill cycle. (Water will back flush into the bucket.
5. Use a hammer HANDLE and tap the hose connections of the water valve. (Your trying to losen the debris)
6. After a minute turn off the warm fill and the water faucet at the wall.
7. Disconnect the removed hose from the water valve and install the inlet screen AFTER cleaning the screen.
8 Reconnect the hose to the water valve and the wall connection.
9. Repeat steps 1 - 8 for remaining side.

If this does not stop the water drip then the water valve will have to be changed.

I will repost later the water valve part number and source.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I dont know what the piece is called but it goes on the back of my front load washer and it seperates the hot water from the cold water and its cracked

Are you referring to the water valve assembly? If so, you can purchase a new assembly. Check with a parts distributor. You will need the brand and model number.

Unplug the washer. Turn off the water supply (hot and cold) to the washer and disconnect the hoses at the washer (there is no need to disconnect the hoses at the wall). Make certain that you replace the hoses correctly on the new water valve with corresponding hot and cold hoses coming from the wall. Disconnect the wire harnesses to each temperature (hot and cold) on the water valve. The harnesses should be color-coded. Replace them correctly on the new valve. Turn the water supply back on and plug in the washer. Run a small water level while testing different temperatures (hot, cold and warm). Check for water leaks and proper temperature.

My refrigerator is leaving a puddle on the floor

Hi. The drain pan should be removed and cleaned at least once a year. The drain pan is located at the bottom of the refrigerator behind the front grill. Remove the grill, which snaps into place. Grasp the drain pan while pulling slightly upward and forward.

Clean the pan with warm soapy water or warm water and baking soda.

If the pan rattles when it is replaced, it is too close to the compressor. Simply reposition the tray.

If you have an ice-maker/dispenser, check the water supply hose going into and coming out of the water inlet valve. The hoses may be loose here, in return, causing the puddle you have discovered.

Water changes from hot to cold. Valves checked out

Bad thermistor or bad board. Or its just a energy super saver and it will not let you use all that hot water. Did it work before or its been like this since new? New energy star models will only let it just get warm for hot wash, saving energy. warm wash is like 70 deg water.

Cold water no flow on Kenmore front load washer

Check cold hose to see if it is clogged or the filter in the end of it is. Make sure water freely coming out from the tap. If that is all ok then replace the watter control valve on the cold side.

Lg washing machine wft855a top loader

Following up my comment from yesterday, I took the machine apart and discovered that the black rubber cover on the valve that releases the cold water had perished and cracked, and wasn't opening properly.
I tested the hot and cold solenoids and everything checked out ok. Was just the cold valve sticking.
The wash cycle was working because I was using hot/warm water. As the rinse cycle needs cold water to get started, it was not working and the rinse and spin cycles wouldn't complete.
I have swapped the valves over for now (put the working hot one on the cold side and am using cold water only). It's working while I order a replacement...
