As the above person suggested, it mainly depends on how the pictures were deleted. The most important thing you can do in the meantime is to not use the xd card until you have either gotten the pictures recovered or given up hope. Once you're ready to try to recover them, find a free undelete program (google 'Recuva'), and follow the instructions.

If you deleted the pics whilst the camera was connected to the computer, you can get them back by reconnecting the camera with the XD card in it, then going to the recycle bin, and right click on it then click on each pic and then on restore, if you deleted them through the camera itself then the pics were physically removed from the XD card, at which point your not using that particular XD card will keep the card in the state it was in (as if you use it it may overwrite in the slots that those old pics were in and make it difficult if not impossible for the data recovery expert to retrieve) when you deleted them and the only way that you might be able to get them back is by enlisting the services of a data recovery expert, however their services are very costly so you have to shop around.

it sounds like you deleted the images. If you are downloading images from your camera or card....you should open the folder to view images. hold control key down and select all images that you want to download. right click on them on click save.

it sounds like you are trying to rename a folder before downloading anything. I know that when I try to edit or rotate any of my images on my card, i first need to download the images to a folder before doing any edits. it does sound like you were trying to rename your folder. normally, you would right click on folder, and click rename. hope this helps. if you need anything else, feel free to ask!!!

How do I delete pictures from my memory card.. the camera says card is full?

Hi,

A quick way to multi delete the pictures (providing you have backed them up first), is to use the camera's menu to format the card.

Formatting the card will completely delete all the images and get the card ready for use again.

Deleted smart card by mistake. want to get the pix back. Have a Olympus Camedia C-3000 Camera, 3.3 mega pixil. Is there a program to reinstate deleted pix?

Have you ever accidentally deleted pictures from your cameras memory card? Or pressed the Format button instead of delete button and wiped your card clean?
However, there are also a lot of good open source / freeware apps out there that can usually get the job done. And that’s where the nice people at CONVAR come in – offering a program called PC Inspector Smart Recovery , which can recover lost pictures for free. What’s even better is that it’s extremely easy to use and works well (based on my tests).
Please note that after you’ve lost the picture, DO NOT take any more pictures on the memory card, as writing new data to the card lowers your chances of recovering the picture. Also note, that recovering the picture is not 100% guaranteed, but there’s a good chance your picture will be recovered.

Step by step instruction, here it is: 1: Download PC INSPECTOR Smart Recovery.
2: Connect your memory card, either by a little memory card reader, or hook your camera up to the PC via the data cable.
3: Run PC INSPECTOR Smart Recovery.
4: Select the drive which is the memory card. It should be the one that has just connected.
5: Leave the format type as .JPG.
6: Choose a destination for the recovered files.
7: Press ‘Start’.

Hope helped with this. Good luck.

Olympus camedia c-3040 zoom how to delete pic

Judging by your explanation, the photos are on your sd digital memory card rather than the internal memory.
Since you are unable to delete just those 15, it sounds like you might have accidentally enabled the "protect" function.

Get out your manual (or download a new one) and read about how to protect/unprotect photos, and also read about how to format your card in camera - something you should do on a VERY regular basis for the health of your memory card.

While you have the book out, read ALL of it - twice! You'll be amazed how much you'll learn.

How can i delete pictures on my digital camera

Push the delete button or the little picture of a trash can. You must make sure the picture is unlocked. Your memory card has a little switch. Make sure it is set to unlocked. (not on locked)

Deleting pics

Hi. I don't know if you accidentally changed something, but I would take all the pictures off. Download them to a pc then format the card. Then, reset the camera back to manufacturer specs. That would fix it.

Deleting Pics.

IF YOU HAVE A MEMORY CARD, YOU CAN DELETE IT THROUGH YOUR COMPUTER OR YOU CAN CONNECT YOUR CAMERA TO THE COMPUTER AND DELETE THEM FROM THERE.

Can you "delete" any pictures from the camera before you down load them? That is, say you have five pictures of one thing you were trying to get a good shot of and you decided to only keep three.

Put the camera into play back mode, select the picture you want to delete with the jog dial, press the top button next to the viewfinder, select yes (the default value) and press OK.
