SOURCE: Xbox 360 Controller: Headset jack on my Xbox 360 wired controller isn't...

try taping it down.

If this doesn't work, you're probably stuck buying a new headset.

On my XBOX 360 I am getting a crackling noise in my headphones when I have my microphone plugged into the wireless controller. I have tried two other known good controllers and the problem is still p

This sounds like it is probably an issue with your wireless controller. If there is any way for you to safely blow into the tiny hole that you plug your headset into in an attempt to clear any dust or debris from that area it would be in your best interest.

If not, try a third headset-- the same issue means either play without a headset or purchase a new controller.

Hope this was helpful!

My son has a xbox360 and were trying to get xbox live to connect and it wont we had it working just fine on his brothers hes not home so we hooked it up to the other xbox 360 and it wont connect

1 Disconnect all accessories and wired controllers from the Xbox 360.
2 Hold the "Guide" button down for three seconds on any wireless controllers, then respond to the prompt on your television screen to disconnect the controllers from your system.3 turn on the wireless headset by pressing the "Power" button in the center of the earpiece. 4 Press the "Connect" button on the front of your Xbox 360 system. 5 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset. The ring of lights around the power button of the Xbox 360 system should spin and blink once. One of the lights should remain lit up, indicating the port number that the headset is using. If you do not see any lights on the system, you may have a faulty wireless headset.6 Press the "Guide" button on your wireless controller to reconnect the controller to the Xbox 360 system. If you are using a wired controller, you can plug it back into the system.7 Press the "Connect" button on the top of your wireless controller to sync the controller with your system. You should see the connection light around the "Guide" button on the controller light up, indicating which port you are connected to. You should also see a corresponding port light in the ring around the power button of your Xbox 360 system 8 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset until the port light on the headset matches the light on the controller and Xbox 360 system. For example, if you are the first player, the light for port number one should be lit up on the Xbox system, the controller and the headset. When all lights correspond, your headset should be properly connected.

Ive bought a new headset for my xbox360 and i cant hear or speak through it. Ive tried it on another xbox and it works fine why wont it work on mine.

I am confused by your question. It is unclear if you are talking about trying another headset or another x box 360 unit. You said "another sbox and it works fine......" Also are you taking about a wired or wireless headset? Please advise and I will get back to you.

best.

My turbo 2 controller wont let me talk on my mic to my friends

The Turbo Fire 2 Wireless is known to cause some incompatibility with headsets.

The first step would be to make sure both your controller and headset are both properly plugged in.

If your headset normally sends normal game sounds to your headset, it will not work with the controller. The sounds are the things you would hear coming out of your TV.

If your headset is incompatible, you can get an OEM or 3rd party Xbox Live headset that only receives voice communication.

My headset works bit i cant here anyone talk but

Do you have the chat/controller cable plugged in between the headset and the Xbox controller? That controller cable carries the chat and talkback signals. The game soundtrack is played through the wireless transmitter and headset.

hi there,
just a quicky...but ur wireless headset dosnt sync to the controller it syncs to the xbox :-)
it dosnt matter which controller you use its synced with the xbox & not the controller !
if ur using 2 different controllers depending on which you switch on first will take player 1 as will the wireless headset. if after you have switched it on (the xbox) you decide to use the other controller it will obviousley take player 2 slot (even if you switch the other controller off first) as will the headset !
hope this helps :-)
