The Rose has a sensor on the presser bar assembly that is giving you the grief. The machine thinkss the presser foot is in the raised position. There is a small metal flat spring that has gone bad and causing the error. Find an autorized service center to repair the problem.

It may have some loose threads or fluff in the upper threading area, especially around the tension discs. With a small brissle brush clean out all these areas. Otherwise suggest that you take it to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.

Testimonial: "Thank you. I will try that. I did clean out the lint in the bottom area where the bobbin is located. "

As Douglas said at the top it's a spring that has gone bad! I had the same start and stop and beeping sickness! I took it apart and fixed it! I didn't cut any wires just wrapped a twist tie around the metal flat piece that hit's a white button to tell the machine the foot is in the down position! Had nothing to lose!! If I took it to an authorized husqvarna person this would be an hour away and they wanted a min of $199 to look at it and then I was number 3 on a list and the technician doesn't come to her shop until there are 6 broken machines! So, hey I took it apart! It really wasn't that hard the case is a little tricky because of the clamps that hold it together u don't want to break anything! I will include a video so this can help someone else! Saving my $200 to put towards another Viking Husqvarna machine of course I love their products but hate their service!

My does the exact same thing!!!! Did you find a solution to this problem? If you took it to a dealer to fix it, could you tell me what they said the problem was? I have already paid $250 to have mine "fixed" and it is still doing it! The machine is essentialy unusable like this.

This just in. 16 Mar.2011 The Thread Tensioner is not that; it is a sensor to tell you when the top thread has run out. Disconnect it. Our dealer did this and no more problems. Bill in Corvallis, Oregon.

What do I do my husqvarna rose beeps when start to sew in the display window the presser foot flashes what's wrong?

It thinks the presser foot is in the up position. Will need to be repaired by experienced service tech (preferably a certified Viking service tech). There is a clamp that may just be out of place or it could be more involved. Good luck.

I bought a Husqvarna Rose at a yard sale. The lady told me she used it only a few times because the thread broke icon always pops up and she has to start over again. I tried it and sure enough it stitches...

Hi. You need to start with getting the manual for your machine. I found one at http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/instruction-book-viking-605-sewing-machine-instruction-manual.aspx.

Then, check the threading diagrams to make absolutely sure it's threaded properly. Check the troubleshooting section of the manual.

Hope this helps!

I own a husqvarna viking rose sewing machine. The tension when embroidering wants to make the thread break when it moves to a different part of the design. What can I do?

Sounds like tension issue. You might want to take it to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com
Good luck.

After a few stitches my machine quits

The problem you are having is with the sensor on the top tension unit. There is a sensor that registers the movement of the spring which lets the machine know that it's sewing. When the spring either sticks or the sensor moves out of position because of vibration, the machine "thinks" that the top thread is broken. The machine needs to be taken apart and the top tension spring checked to see if it still has enough pressure to return to it's starting position, or to see if the sensor is in it's correct position. A trip to your service tech is required

Husquvarna Viking Rose thread error

You need to see if the take up spring is moving freely when you are in these first 15 minutes (I assume the machine runs ok after 15 mins).
The take up spring is on the left side of the tension assy. When the thread is pulled up toward the take up lever, you should be able to look through the slot in the front of the machine and see a copper colored wire move up and down as the thread is pulled and released. This is the end of the take up spring. The spring is attached to the thread breakage sensor. If its movement is sluggish, it may cause the machine to falsely indicate the thread broke.
Sewing very slowly may cause this problem to stop. If the machine runs as minimal speed and then gives thread break indication when speeding up, the sensor interrupter is not moving fast enough and should be cleaned and lubed.
