Hello, I have a Kenmore Series 90 dryer... model 110.62912100
We replaced a thermostat inside the front kick plate area, but now need to replace the drive belt. Some blogs say take back off the dryer but we can't seem to get the back of the dryer off.
Any suggestions?

The wheel has left handed threads. Use an impact wrench and an adjustable wrench to get it off or get a vice grips or pipe wrncha nd lock down the shaft then get a stick of wood or a hammer handle and shove it in between two fins at the 3 oclock position. Slam downwards on the wheel and it should pop loose.

SOURCE: I NEED TO REMOVE THE FRONT PANEL OF MY KENMORE 8 SERIES GAS DRYER
One of two ways depending on oh made this unit GE or WPL FIRST look at the top of the door opening for two screws if there is no screws get a flat head screw drive and look with a flash light between the top and front pane you should see a clip about 2 inches from the sides going tworge the middle use a flat screwdriver place in the crack between the top and front panel and hit the back of the screwdriver with you hand should push the clip back an the top pop up do the same onthe other side (before you start if you lent filter goes in the top of the dryer remove the two screws holding that down to remove the front in the side panel going into the front is a screw on both side remove then lift the front up too unclip the bottom clips good luck.
SOURCE: can't find kenmore 80 series dryer drum belt
ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
If you have to replace your drum belt and if you have a front loading machine.
Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer. Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer.
Remove the front of the machine, this will expose the belt and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley. Pay attention to the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt and drum.
Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum not to turn.
While you have the drum out, I would recommend that you lubricate the drum rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil. This will save you a problem later with the rollers getting noisy, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a noise like a thumping type noise. You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.
